A few days back Gurmehar Kaur daughter of martyr Captain Mandeep Singh launched a campaign against ABVP. Her father Captain Mandeep Singh sacrificed his life during the Kargil war. She took the help of social media to spread her campaign. Gurmehar posted pics on social media holding placards that read, “Pakistan didn’t kill my father, war killed.
Her social media campaign against ABVP surfaced the internet. While some people are calling her anti-national, others are supporting her for the courage she has shown. Even renowned celebrities like Virendra Sehwag and Randeep Hooda got embroiled in the issued.
Virendra Sehwag is known for his excellent sense of humor and hilarious tweets. He backfired the girl by posting a placard that read, “I didn’t score two triple centuries, my bat did”. Bollywood actor Randeep Singh supported the cricketer. Randeep Singh even said that Gurmehar’s been used as a political pawn.
However, this didn’t go well with those supporting Gurmehar Kaur. Many accused them of having a bullying tone against the girl. After the backlash he faced by the public, Randeep Singh took to facebook to give his justification for lauding Sehwag’s tweet.
