Putin was involved int he 1999 house apartment bombings in Moscow, Buinaksk and Volgodonsko- this is what some Russian reporters and investigators believes. Russia was petrified with those bombings. President Boris Yeltsin and his entire team were chastise for their role in this act of terror. Putin, the head of the Federal Security Bureau had just been named Yeltsin’s Prime Minister and became popular in no time by gravely promising revenge against those who had killed those innocent civilians. He assumed the direction of the war just when the people wanted it and thus was elected as the President of Russia with everybody’s support.
