Virat Kohli is the new sensation of the cricket world. From the very first day, he filled us with us with his amazing batting skills. 2017 has proved to be very lucky for the cricketer. He scored a century during the first match of the year. With this, he also won the first ODI against England. The whole of India is filled with pride and celebrating this wonderful victory in the match. They are drowned in the surge of happiness.
India Today addressed him as Unreal, Superhuman and beyond comparison.
But there’s something more to the wonderful news. His long list of achievements doesn’t end here. He owned the field with his amazing performances during the ODI(One Day International) matches.
Virat is achieving milestones at such a young age. We are proud to have him in the Indian team. He makes us proud every time he gets on the field to play for the team.
The Indian team scored 351 in the recent match and Virat alone scored a brilliant 122 out of the total. Earlier in 2016, he was declared Man of the Series for his spectacular performance in the three consecutive matches.
It brought up Kohli’s 27th ODI century. Kedar Jadhav and Hardik Pandya’s performance too played a pivotal role in securing India’s victory against England. They paved way for Virat’s match-winning century.
Kohli broke Sachin’s record, defeating master blaster’s on the cricket field.
To your great surprise, he left Sachin Tendulkar much behind in terms of the number of hundreds in successful ODI chases. He beat the Master Blaster with 15 successful ODI chases to his name. Sachin had a record of Sachin’s 14 centuries in his successful cricket career.
It is indeed a matter of pride for him and India. Virat secured his 15 hundreds in just 60 innings while Sachin got it in 124 innings.
After this phenomenal victory, the micro-blogging site, Twitter was full with extolments and congratulating the Indian team.
Sachin Tendulkar too was very happy when he got to know that Virat managed to break his record. The Master Blaster believes that either Kohli or Rohit Sharma will break his record of 100 international centuries.
However, even after achieving so much, he remained his humble self.
“I have been playing well for two years while he served the nation with grace for 24 years,” he said on being compared with Sachin.
We are proud of you Virat Kohli!
