Sonam Wangchuk Wins Rolex Award Enterprise 2016


3 Idiots is the most inspiring movie for every student. The character of Phunsuk Wangdu played by Aamir Khan is the favorite of everyone. The character is not entirely fictional. Sonam wangchuk inspired Chetan bhagat about the whole novel. He is an engineer from Ladakh whose life story is what the movie is based on.

Aamir Khan played the role perfectly. Sonam Wangchuk is working on modern education model for years. He was successful in many inventions of his own earlier too. His trials are indeed out of the normal. The view that he has about the new world is truly inspiring.

Recently, he received the “Rolex award for enterprise” for his innovative ideas. This is considered the most prestigious award for new age innovators and think tanks. What Aamir Khan portrayed in the movie is nothing when compared to the reality.

Earlier, another Indian was awarded with Rolex Award For Enterprise in 2012. His name is Arun Krishnamurthy. He worked to save the lakes of India. The rural areas benefited a lot with his works. His NGO is one of the most respected ones in India.
