We hear about a lot of rescue operations daily. There are numerous animals rescue operations whose sole aim of life is to save as much animals as they can, be it wild beasts or stray. Anyone in need will be given complete care under expert supervision. Our heart melts when we see such operations going on around the world. Only then we believe that there is still some humanity left in this planet.
Owing to this very common incident, we often see that our domesticized animals too show excessive possessiveness and care for us like we do. They would go to great lengths to save our lives. In short, they souls do anyone for us.
But have you ever heard about any random animals saving the life of a person. Some of you might and others might have gone through such experience in their life.
Well, we are going to introduce you to a latter case here.
The girl’s name is Sarah Varley. She was raped when she was just 19 years old. Following such horrific experience, she developed a case of PTSD, and gradually after 2 long years, suffered germ- and vomit-phobia.
She stopped eating and would take only three raisins and walnuts each for breakfast. Consequently, she lost a lot of weight, weighing only a mere 41 kg at such an age. As a result, she came to believe that she won’t live long.
But fate wanted otherwise and you will be glad to know she lived and that too in good health.
According to Metro, 8 years ago, Varley came in contact with the wolves and wolf dogs at a shelter house managed by her cousins. she used to visit them everyday as she has formed an unbreakable bond with them.
But there was one special wolf dog who helped her survive and gave her encouragement in getting over the worst days of her life.
This wolf pack saved her life in true terms.
“I do not know if I would be here today without the wolves.
Before I was scared of everything around me, but when I was with a wolf I had a legitimate reason to be scared and respectful which gave me something to be focused on.
I think that respect and that need to be present is what helped me so much…It allowed me to take back power over a traumatic event in my life and it has helped me heal.
I am so grateful to these animals – I feel very lucky,” she said.
Now after 8 long years, she is in very good health and credits the time she spent with the wolf pack for it.
According to her, spending 8 hours everyday with them, saved her life. It gave her peace and soothes her.
Noe she is planning to open her own wolf and wolf dog sanctuary. She strongly believes that these innocent, pure-hearted animals could do wonders to a patient’s health. They are a source of unconditional love and care.
